Frank Akpan , the uyo based young man who’s allegedly carried out the gruesome murder of a job seeker, Miss Hiny Umoren was this morning found dead in the police at Ikot Akpanabia State command.
He had hung himself using his trousers by tying it to the metal frame of his cell door. Akpan was last seen alive by 19.30 yesterday when he was served his evening meal of bread and edikangikong.

United States President, Joe Biden has finally spoken up on the rising violence between Israel and the Palestinians. There have been protests in Israel as over 1500 rockets have been fired from Gaza towards various locations in Israel, killing at least six Israelis. Israeli fighter jets have also been carrying out heavy bombardment on major buildings in Palestine.
It all started after Palestinian families were forced to vacate the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. Some Palestinians started to protest against the expulsion and it turned violent as soon as Israelis forces fired rubber bullets at protesters, they also conducted a raid on Islam’s third holiest site, Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and dispersed Muslim worshippers, many of the Muslims who were worshipping in the compound were injured in the process
This caught the attention of Hamas, a Palestinian militant organization and they gave Israel an ultimatum to remove it’s forces from Al-Aqsa compound and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood which Israel didn’t listen to. The Palestinian militant organization, Hamas has now sent over 1500 rockets towards Israel, even though many were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system in Israel, some still landed and killed some Israelis.
The outrage on social media rose as soon as Israel started to carry out aerial strikes on key buildings in Palestine. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the aerial bombings won’t stop anytime soon. Key buildings have been brought down by Israeli war planes and various videos on social media showed the moment the fighter jets dropped bombs on buildings.
The president of the United States of America, Joe Biden has now spoken on the ongoing conflict and he made it clear that there is nothing wrong in Isreal defending their own land. In a video that is currently going viral, Joe Biden revealed that his National Security Staff and Defense Staff have been in contact with Palestine and Israel and he just concluded a meeting with Netanyahu.
“I had a conversation with a PM Netanyahu and I would be putting up a statement shortly on that. My hope and expectation is that this would be closing down sooner than later but Israel has a right to defend itself when they have thousands of rockets flying into their territory.”
