The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Friday morning shared a new photo of President Muhammadu Buhari which according to him shows the leader’s ‘crumbling nose.’
The IPOB leader took to Twitter to tweet a photo previously shared by Channels television and told Nigerians to pay attention to the nose and hands. He added that Nigerians have made him understand how easy it is to deceive and enslave black people.
He wrote, “Without Nigerians, I wouldn’t have known how easy it is to deceive & enslave black people. Our brains cannot interpret what our eyes can see.
“Pay attention to the masked crumbling nose & young fresh hands of this latest version of an 82 year old dead @MBuhari. #Nigerians sorry!”
JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, gave this indication during a virtual meeting with 2021 UTME committee members, on Friday, noting that over 600,000 prospective candidates who have indicated interest to participate in the 2021 UTME, have been unable to register because of challenges associated with National Identity Number (NIN) used for the registration.
Oloyede said the examination is likely to hold between June 5 and 19, disclosing so far, 1.1 million candidates have registered for the 2021 UTME, stating that the board anticipates approximately 1.9 million registrations at the end of the exercise
He noted that even though 50 per cent of candidates have already registered without problem, there was the need to carry everyone along, adding that after meeting with stakeholders, they will decide on whether to shift the exam forward or not.
“The possibility of shifting the exam forward is still high, but that will be determined after our meeting with stakeholders. This is because about 6000 candidates who have indicated an interest in the exam are yet to register. There is a need to give everyone the opportunity,” he said.
While apologising for the new initiatives introduced in the 2021 UTME, Prof Oloyede explained that it was not to punish candidates but to rather exposed candidates in the habit of indulging in various forms of malpractices.
The examination body, which is responsible for the conduct of the entrance examination into the nation’s tertiary institutions explained that candidates are expected to provide two pictures in the exam script. Pictures of the who register for the exam and of persons who register for NIN
The registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, Prof. Is’aq Oloyede, has said that the board will decide if there is a need to extend the registration period and change the date of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Oloyede made this known today, at a zoom meeting titled, ‘Briefing session for the committees on 2021 UTME’.
The UTME had been slated to hold between June 5 and 19.
Oloyede, however, stated that the Mock examination would begin on May 20 as stipulated earlier.
The registrar explained that “Presently, we have 1.2million candidates that have registered but we expect 1.9million. 600,000 candidates had made attempt to register but because of NIN they could not. We want to do an appraisal of all the issues to know if we are extending registration or not.
“Extending registration may not be the solution if we found out that we can give 80 per cent of those who have made attempt another password, then there will be no need to extend registration.
“We have to determine where the problem is coming before we can say we are extending. After today, we will address the press tomorrow on the outcome of the meeting on the main examination date and registration. We want to assess what is happening.”
The zoom meeting had in attendance stakeholders who all stated their challenges while some others appreciated the innovations and transparency which Oloyede brought to the fore in the yearly conduct of UTME.

The information reaching our Forum is that his kidnap is connected to his recent criticisms to the policies and actions of Ebonyi State Government, which he expressed in a Television programme with AIT three (3) days ago, been the 10th day of May, 2021.
Consequent upon the above information in our disposal, we hereby condemn in strong terms the ugly kidnap of BARR. AMOS OGBONNAYA and every other actions to suppress oppositions or constructive criticisms of the policies of the government of our dear State.
It has also been alleged that one Mr Obasi Chinonso who’s the Personal Assistant(PA) to a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Ebonyi State Government and also a Member of Ebonyi State Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) with the following phone numbers – 08100121059, 08184232672 has been associated with this Kidnap.
We maintain that a democratic government should be ready to receive or allow constructive criticisms from oppositions in other to shape or correct their wrong policies, adding that when a government clamps down on oppositions and suppress constructive criticisms; the said government losses the whole essence of democracy and become autocratic.
We therefore, ask the government of Ebonyi State to come clean on this allegations and those highlighted as agents being employed to intimidate and attack oppositions in the state, to immediately and unconditionally release BARR. AMOS OGBONNAYA without further delay, as his continuous detention in the custody of the kidnappers will over-heat the polite of the state and frail more nerves which will not be healthy to the civility we should enjoy in our dear State.
Finally, we once again, sue for peaceful co-existence and fairness in the polite of our dear State.

Gov Umahi having known that without the aforementioned personalities, among other’s, he is nothingness was embroiled with anger, frustration, bickering, hence he resorted to insulting the fingers that fed him, casting aspersions majorly on the personalities like Sen Dr Sam Ominyi Egwu, Sen Barr Anyim Pius Anyim, Sen Obinna Joseph Ogba.
Gov Umahi in his usual delusion went further to accuse Anyim Pius Anyim and Sen Dr Sam O Egwu of sponsoring cultist in connivance with IPOB to make the State uncomfortable. Sen Anyim Pius Anyim, Egwu, Ogba and others couldn’t swallow the unwarranted accusation and hitherto scattered Gov Umahi’s skull with a concise write up that further exposed clandestine things about Umahi. Undeniably, Umahi is yet to get himself from Anyim Pius Anyim and Sen Obinna Joseph Ogba script, even when his Media Bandits tried countering the script.
However, following the spate of insecurity that has brought Nigeria and Ebonyi State to a stand still, Gov Umahi called for a stakeholders meeting bothering on Security, left the subject matter for the meeting and started raining abuses, threat and attack on the National Assembly members in the State, including the captains of PDP in the State. He vowed openly to fight his political Godfather Sen Sam Egwu tooth and nail, boasted how he helped him to return to Senate, with other mendacious comments just to discredit Sen Dr Sam O Egwu forgetting that it was Sam O Egwu that brought him to the political limelight of Ebonyi State. Gov Umahi who should proffer solution to the heightened insecurity in the parts of the State rather resorted to telling those that honoured the Security meeting how he is going to clampdown on the National Assembly members who resolved to remain in the party that gave them political teeth. His penchant to noxious the members of PDP, especially the stalwarts of the party in the State is well noticed but such will be effort in futility.
The said Security Meeting is nothing but a charade, show of shame and naked dance of one legged masquerade grasping for help from the gods. A supposed security meeting that turned avenue to castigate Supreme leaders of PDP can be best described as a political rally.
Gov Umahi is just ranting and crying wolf. His empty threat and abusive words on the PDP grandmasters in the State will not bring solution to what will envelope him in 2023. He is just grappling for a breathe like one who ran Rilly Race. His recent outburst and vituperation is nothing but a sign of frustration and a last kick of a dying horse.
There was tension in Iseyin, Oyo State, on Thursday, as men of the Nigeria Customs Service allegedly shot dead five persons in the town during a clash with suspected smugglers.
The Customs men were said to be pursuing a Sport Utility Vehicle conveying bags of rice when the clash occurred.
Residents told our correspondent that the Customs men started shooting and bullets hit some persons, who were out celebrating the Eid-il-Fitri, and five of them died.
The killings were said to have sparked a protest in the town.
There were claims that the NCS base in the town was torched by protesting youths, while some vehicles were also razed. But these claims could not be independently verified.

The report states that Akpan on spotting Ephraim last night while walking down the street, allegedly knocked him down with an unregistered Lexus car. The victim was rushed to the hospital by good Samaritans while Akpan in the company of armed men suspected to the officers of the Nigerian police, visited the hospital and carted away the only eye witness.
“When they discovered that Ephraim had passed on, the said armed men rushed Akpan out by shooting sporadically into the air when residents wanted to accost him. They claimed the residents wanted to kidnap him.
Prior to his planned execution, Akpan has been threatening Ephraim that he’ll kill him if he asked for the said debt after all he has influencial members in their church and an uncle who is a judge that will help to trash out the case. O God, your vengeance!!,”
